Jonathan R.K. Stroud is the Chief Patent Counsel at Unified Patents Inc., where he manages a docket of more than 50 IPR petitions, appeals, licensing, settlement, and district court litigation. Prior to that, he was a patent litigator at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, where he worked on
litigation, motion practice, and AIA post-grant review procedures,
including covered business method (CBM) patents. Prior to joining
Finnegan, Mr. Stroud worked at the USPTO as a patent examiner for five
years, where he examined patent applications relating to medical
devices. He has been published more than a dozen times in journals such as the The American University Law Review, the Administrative Law Review, the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review, the Journal of the Patent & Trademark Office Society, the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property Law, and others.
