About The Georgetown Law Journal Online
The Georgetown Law Journal Online (GLJO) is published exclusively on our website. It is a separate publication from the Journal’s print edition. GLJO publishes shorter pieces that are topical or timely (i.e., pieces that comment on current issues in the legal field) and suit a generalist audience.
About GLJO’s Submission Process
Headed by our Senior Online Editor, Anna Reid, GLJO pieces are published exclusively on the web. GLJO accepts shorter articles, essays, responses to published pieces, book reviews, and student work, such as case comments and notes. Acceptable submissions generally range from 6,000 to 10,000 words. We accept submissions on a rolling basis (except we do not review submissions from November 15th through February 15th), and selections are made seasonally by The Journal’s Online Committee. GLJO can offer quick turnarounds from acceptance to publication for particularly timely pieces addressing current topics in the law. Submissions via Scholastica are preferred, but we will also accept submissions to: geoljonline@gmail.com.
