My name is Peter Pizano and I am writing as the Executive Articles Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Human Rights (JHR). Until last year, our journal operated as the Northwestern Journal of International Human Rights. This year, we changed our name to better reflect our substantive focus on all human rights issues, not only those occurring internationally.
The Journal of Human Rights seeks to offer a forum for scholars, practitioners, and law students to debate domestic and international human rights issues. By advancing human rights scholarship, the Journal aims to provide the legal community with the strongest arguments available to address human rights challenges.
Articles may be of any length, though articles thirty to fifty double-spaced pages will be given priority. Articles should be submitted in Word document format, in the English language. Bibliographies may be included but are not required. Footnotes are required, however, and should be in proper BlueBook format or an equivalent acceptable citation format. Articles should include an abstract, be in 12-point Arial or Times New Roman font with 1.5 or double-line spacing.
