The Harvard Environmental Law Review (HELR) is accepting submissions for Volume 42, Issue 2, which will be published in Spring 2018.
HELR seeks legal and policy-based articles that significantly advance the environmental field. HELR has adopted a broad view of environmental law to include such areas as climate change; energy; environmental justice; green infrastructure; noise regulation; science and technology control; toxic substances control; and workplace pollution. For this issue, we are particularly interested in pieces centered on environmental justice, international/comparative environmental law, or water law.
Length limits: HELR gives preference to articles under 25,000 words in length, including text and footnotes. HELR does not publish articles exceeding 35,000 words except in extraordinary circumstances.
In order to reserve space for student authors at Harvard Law School, HELR does not review submissions from current J.D. or LL.M. students at other law schools.
