The Review of Litigation at the University of Texas School of Law is now accepting submissions for its Spring 2026 symposium issue, which will focus on election litigation. This symposium will examine litigation arising from the 2024 election cycle and explore anticipated legal challenges leading into the 2026 midterm elections. Several renowned election law experts and national level politicians will be participating as authors and speakers.

We welcome submissions addressing any aspect of election litigation, including but not limited to:

  • Federal and state court rulings on election procedures and ballot access

  • Legal controversies surrounding voting rights and election integrity

  • The role of litigation in shaping electoral outcomes or policy

  • Emerging litigation trends and their democratic or institutional implications

  • Comparative or historical perspectives on election-related legal disputes

Selected articles and essays will be published in a special symposium issue and authors will be invited to participate in a related symposium event at Texas Law in Spring 2026. Participation in the event is encouraged but not required for publication.

Submission Guidelines:

  • We accept articles, essays, or shorter commentaries (ideal length: 8,000–20,000 words).

  • Submissions should be made via Scholastica.

  • Preferred submission deadline: December 1, 2025. Earlier submissions are encouraged and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

    • Final submission deadline: January 15, 2025.
