The Loyola Maritime Law Journal is now accepting submissions for its upcoming volume. We invite legal scholars, practitioners, judges, and students to contribute their voices to one of the nation’s few dedicated maritime and admiralty law journals. As one of the premier publications in this field, the LMLJ provides a platform for timely, original scholarship that addresses current legal issues in maritime, aviation, and space law.
We welcome a wide variety of submission types, including Articles, Essays, Comments, and Notes. Most of our published pieces range between fifteen and thirty-five pages, though we consider submissions of all lengths. Whether you’re writing on offshore energy, shipping disputes, maritime environmental regulation, international law, or any emerging issue within our focus areas, we are eager to review your work.
Submissions are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), and citations should follow The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed.) using footnotes. All statements of law or fact must be cited, but author opinions do not require sourcing. We also accept submissions via e-mail to: maritimejournal@loyno.edu with “Scholastica Submission” in the subject line.
Let your ideas shape the future of maritime law and submit to the LMLJ today!
